The Novelis Digital Center of Excellence Data Science team is seeking a UI/UX Developer based in Atlanta. The Developer will support the Sr. Manager, Data Science & Insights and have focus on a multi-year companywide initiative called "Plant of the Future". This initiative is designed to generate business value through implementation of various Industry 4.0 technologies including (but not limited to) Machine Learning, Computer Vision and MLOps etc.
The UI/UX Lead Developer will be responsible for the development of desktop and mobile user interfaces that will run advanced analytics models in the background to be utilize in a secure manufacturing environment!
Please note: This role may require up to 10% - 15% of travel, domestically, within the US, and internationally.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Command the full design process including design creation, conceptualization, wireframing/ storyboarding, and finalizing layouts for mobile and desktop user interfaces
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and develop intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing user interfaces across desktop, tablet and mobile devices
- Develop and maintain reusable UI components and libraries and optimize user interfaces for speed and scalability
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in UI/UX design and development
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science with a focus on fullstack development.
- 3+ years of experience in UI, UX development maximizing react.js, node.js and other Javascript technologies such as Ionic, Hybrid mobile development, Angular JS, JQuery, front end integration with CSS3 and HTML5, and mobile development on iOS & Android platforms.
- Must have published one or more iOS and Android app in the applicable app store preferably demonstrating Rest API integration in the background.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure web app stack such as web app and API app resources.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in deploying Digital artifacts in a manufacturing setting including an understanding of IT and OT infrastructures and standards.
- Track record of transcending the ITOT divide through innovating full stack solutions.
