Lead Engineer- Innovation Management Platform

What you'll do:

"We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer who will be responsible for supporting the company's innovation efforts by managing and optimizing the Eaton Innovation Management Platform. This role involves coaching teams on how to utilize the platform effectively, simplifying its usage, and ensuring that data related to innovation strategies and opportunity development is captured and maintained. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, innovation communications, and ProPM, to ensure data consistency and platform integration with business processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical and strategic mindset, with a deep understanding of innovation management systems, including ISO 56001 compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Innovation Management system with hands on experience of tools like ITONICS. This role will be based in Engineering Operational Excellence team at EIIC, Pune."

"Platform Coaching & Support:
• Coach and guide business units on how to effectively use the Eaton Innovation Management Platform to drive innovation processes.
• Act as a point of contact to prevent and remove any impediments teams may encounter when using the platform.
• Simplify and improve platform usability, ensuring teams can easily navigate and leverage its features

Data Model Management:
• Capture the data model outputs of the innovation strategy and opportunity development processes.
• Ensure the platform is capable of supporting Innovation Accounting, Monitoring, Visualization, Communication, Funneling, and Reporting activities.
• Maintain and update data models related to innovation strategy and ProPM Gate 0 processes.

Process and Platform Enhancements:
• Collaborate with the IT and ProPM teams to ensure data consistency and platform alignment with business requirements.
• Lead platform modifications to support changes in the innovation strategy and opportunity development processes.
• Continuously improve the platform to streamline innovation-related activities, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and ISO 56001 standards.

Innovation Communication:
• Coordinate with the innovation communication team to share platform-related updates and ensure clear communication across the organization.
• Collaborate on communication strategies for innovation-related announcements, events, and platform enhancements.

Training Development:
• Develop and conduct training programs on platform usage and innovation processes, hosted on Eaton University.
• Ensure all users are trained on new features and updates to the platform, driving engagement and maximizing adoption.

Event Coordination:
• Support innovation events such as JTBD contests, Innovation Cup, iCamp, and other related activities by ensuring smooth platform integration and data tracking."

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Engineering degree in Computer Science with demonstrated experience in Innovation Management systems . Certificate and Education in Innovations Management. Understanding of Data Models concept. SW Programing skills to link the platform to other tools through API
"8~10 years of experience with multinational engineering organization of which 3-5 years of experience working with innovation management platforms or similar systems in an industrial or technology-driven organization.

Skills:

Experience managing data models, working with IT teams, and driving innovation platform enhancements.
Familiarity with ISO 56001 (Innovation Management Systems) and experience ensuring compliance with innovation standards."
