Position Overview:


This position reports directly to the Manager of Business Development and is a critical player for enabling sales organizational success. The Sales Data Analyst is responsible for all aspects of data for new business development including assessment of target accounts, breaking down and laying out the corporate hierarchy, gathering contact information, and helping to prepare the sales team for prospecting.


This Sales Data Analyst will have strong telephonic communication skills that engage potential prospects. A successful candidate will be able to successfully mine data and data sources for potential sales targets. Self motivation is critical along with the ability to work cross-functionally with key sales, sales operations, and marketing stakeholders.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process data from lead lists
  • Perform data mining to identify potential sales targets
  • Ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to the sales team
  • Assist in preparation of periodic sales presentations for management
  • Provide analysis on business development and monitor business performance by territory,
  • Perform ad-hoc data projects for sales managers
  • Monitor market trends and build future sales funnels by customer, region, product etc.
  • Review current lead lists and enrich with new data
  • Attend sales meetings to understand company objectives
  • Navigate multiple data avenues to complete a single lead profile
  • Preform daily activity tracking and contact development in PerfectServe’s Salesforce/Salesloft
  • Assist in development of all key performance metrics for this function

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in Business, Marketing or related field. (preferred)
  • Comfortable with internet navigation
  • Able to be part of a community and work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Open to taking direction
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be adaptable to working in a rapidly changing and evolving environment
  • Initiates lead/demand generation strategies that include inbound/outbound sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Collaboratively work with the sales, marketing team and PerfectServe leadership to develop lead generation strategies to generate lead opportunities with prospective customer
  • Prospecting, generating, qualifying and processing for external sales team
  • Willingness to make phone calls to verify contact information

This position requires interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting. In order to best service our customers on the phone, face-to-face, or on the computer, all employees must be able to communicate with or without reasonable accommodation.


Depending on the assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 25 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate equipment.
