Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic healthcare technology team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our cloud-native patient administration system. This modern platform empowers both patients and healthcare staff by simplifying registration, scheduling, and real-time patient management across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
As a Lead Java Developer, you'll work on optimizing workflows that allow patients to self-serve - register, check-in, cancel, or reschedule appointments seamlessly. You will be instrumental in designing scalable backend services, ensuring high performance and seamless integrations in a cutting-edge, patient-centered environment. Additionally, you will support and mentor the team in technical matters.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable Java backend services to support healthcare registration and scheduling systems
  • Optimize microservices for seamless integration, high availability, and fault tolerance
  • Leverage AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2) to build and deploy cloud-native applications with a focus on scalability and performance
  • Integrate cloud databases, third-party services, and APIs to ensure a unified experience for users
  • Work closely with product managers, front-end developers, and stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables
  • Monitor and enhance application performance across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices using AWS tools
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices
  • Stay current with the latest trends in Java, AWS, and healthcare technology, driving innovation
  • Ensure the solution complies with industry security standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Maintain clear documentation and provide regular project updates to stakeholders
Requirements
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Java with expertise in backend development and cloud-native architectures
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and service-oriented architecture
  • Experience working withAWS cloud technologies(AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot and Spring Datafor Java development
  • Experience working withcloud databases(NoSQL and SQL) and knowledge of integrating them into cloud-native systems
  • Solid background inDevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agilemethodologies
  • Understanding ofhealthcare applications, especially related topatient administration, registration, or similar healthcare workflows, is a plus
  • Ability tocollaborate with cross-functional teamsto deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
  • Strong communication skillsand an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Nice to have
  • Experience withcontainerization technologieslike Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry standardssuch as HL7 or FHIR
  • Familiarity withCI/CD toolingand best practices
