Job Description:

Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures. Acts as general supervisor over assigned lab activities. Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.


Qualifications

Education:

Baccalaureate Degree in relevant science or equivalent as defined by CLIA’88

 

Experience:

4 years experience as Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLT) with general lab/multi-department experience

 

Technical Skills:

General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities

 

License/Certification:

Nevada State License as general supervisor required; ASCP or equivalent board registration required.

 

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide high quality of patient care appropriately (specific age competent). Must possess appropriate people skills, organization and attention to detail. Must act as a resource for others.
