Job Description

• What will you do :
• As a seasoned engineer you will be a part of a fast-paced team, where your experience will matter the most to scale our development & release processes and create world-class products.
• Breathe programming! This role demands strong programming skills, the ability to adapt to emerging business requirements, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, often involving hands-on coding.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and drive the architecture, design, and hands-on development of critical, high-scale services and components, ensuring they meet requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with and mentor talented engineers, guiding their growth and helping to resolve technical blockers.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand the system requirements and translate them into robust technical specifications. Identify key system components, interfaces, and dependencies.
• Conduct code and design reviews to maintain high-quality standards and provide technical guidance across the engineering organization, fostering a culture focused on testing, maintainability, and observability.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and contribute ideas to improve the overall product and engineering ecosystem.

What makes you qualified: •

8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend engineering.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Proficiency in backend languages - Java and Python, and familiarity with cloud technologies - AWS, GCP, Azure and Kubernetes

Proficiency with advanced database concepts for popular NoSQL databases - MongoDB, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, Kafka, Redis and Cassandra

Deep understanding of performance, scalability and observability.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment.

Ability to build a minimum working product quickly.

A sense of urgency and ownership over the product.

Architecture knowledge is good to have.
