Job Description
Eaton's Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Lead Project Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Waukesha, WI facility. A hybrid work schedule is offered (3 days in office/2 days remote).
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution and deliverables for NPI, VAVE, Sourcing projects and programs. Along with supporting the Program Management functions within the Transformer Product Line. You will also lead and execute projects/programs to ensure successful execution of VAVE and NPI projects including elements of planning, risk analysis, costing, product design, reliability testing, prototyping, and design for manufacturability.

In this function you will:
- Collaborate with marketing, manufacturing, and sourcing functions in project deck development and execution. Negotiates resources allocation as required to execute project to specified milestones.
- Maintains and lead "idea generation events" to maintain enough projects to maximize business cost out objectives
- Responsible for NPI, VAVE and sourcing project initiation, execution, and completion
- Coordinates all risks and requirements of a project, controlling, integrating all project activities and deliverables, and measuring of elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved.
- Continuously seek product improvements that will increase profitability by being aware of commodity pricing and labor costs.
- Identifies next generation opportunities though emerging technologies that will expand product offerings and improve manufacturability of current products.
- Manages and executes the financial lifecycle for NPI, VAVE and sourcing projects.
- Maintains metrics on project schedules, budget, quality, technical performance
- Provides periodic project updatesof current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
- 1 year experience in both Electrical and Mechanical systems
- 3 years of experience in project leadership or Engineering and/or Product Development Management
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
- Six Sigma certification
- Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) or equivalent
- Familiar with the Power Industry products and standards
- Familiar with ISO design controls and product development practices
- Familiar with Gate review methodology
Position Criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations
- Self-motivating and acts in an ethical and truthful manner
- Good analytical skills and business acumen
- Understands Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools
- Excellent team leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Team (IPT)
