Lead Software Testing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Testing Engineer to join our team in Malaysia.
In this critical role, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will be responsible for hands-on testing activities while also providing expert guidance and mentorship to the development team. This role requires a strong understanding of software development lifecycle, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute comprehensive test cases for functional, regression and integration testing
• Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute testing activities effectively
• Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and generate clear and concise test reports
• Proactively identify and assess potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Effectively communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders (e.g., product managers, developers, project managers)
• Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in software testing

• 8 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on functional testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Experience with test case management tools (e.g., Jira with Zephyr)
• ISTQB certification is a plus
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Bruno)
