Lead Structural Designer

Foth Production Solutions works closely with consumer product companies to solve their toughest technical challenges. We partner with clients to help streamline their capital spending and business decision process, enable operational efficiencies, and launch new products. Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Structural Designer who has a desire to contribute to our clients’ success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be preferably working out of our Green Bay, WI location.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop design initiatives to improve standards.
• Lay out and conceptually design structural modifications and improvements for a wide range of manufacturing based projects such as platforms, catwalks, mezzanines, utility and machine support, monorails, cranes, foundations, etc.
• Prepare structural models and drawings for industrial structures.
• Use Revit to prepare drawings and 3D models.
• Use and manipulate 3D scanning and point cloud data. 
• Assist in developing proposals and design estimates for structural scopes of work (including estimated labor requirements and schedules)
• Obtain field measurements of existing structures, equipment, and utilities
• Maintain current and develop new standard work processes including Revit templates, families, libraries, and CAD templates.
• Work on multi-discipline teams supporting simultaneous projects. 
• Acts as a Model Coordinator on complex and/or multi-discipline projects.
• Utilizes independent judgment in the execution of the specific discipline assignments through selection, substantial adaptation, and modification of standard techniques and procedures.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for various subjects and brings the knowledge back to the structural group.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• AS Degree in applicable field of study
• 10+ year of industry relevant experience
• Experience designing in Revit and AutoCAD
• Structural steel and concrete design experience

Preferred previous experience with the following:

• Providing construction support in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory codes and standards (OSHA, IBC, AISC, ACI)
• AutoCAD 2D and 3D
• Autodesk Navisworks
• Autodesk Recap
• Bentley MicroStation
• Bluebeam Revu
