Meet the team:
If you want to work with an energetic and dynamic team of tax and treasury professionals at a fast-growing medical device company in San Diego, this is the job for you! We are looking for a Lead Tax Accountant to join our Tax team. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of US Tax and will support in areas of domestic income taxation, including compliance, provision preparation, planning, and audit defense. The Lead Tax Accountant will work together with the US team to prepare all US income tax compliance filings, estimated/extension payments, and the R&D credit study.
Where you come in:
• Support the preparation and review all federal, state, and local income filings along with quarterly estimated payments in advance of all due dates
• Coordinate meetings, prepare documentation and conduct interviews to support our federal and state R&D credit
• Support in the preparation of the quarterly and year-end US tax provision and information requests for the provision team
• Prepare/review documentation to support audit inquiries from tax authorities and internal/external auditors
• Prepare/review compliance documentation and calculations related to state credits and incentives
• Monitor and report out changes in federal and state tax legislation
• Prepare/review technical memos
• Prepare and analyze tax account reconciliations
• Assist in tax planning, M&A, and group financing activities in support of the global finance organization
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the Company
• Display a continuous improvement mindset and make suggestions for ways we can work more productively and efficiently
• Additional duties as assigned

Experience and Education Requirements:
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
• At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience
Flex Workplace:Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).

Salary:$105,800.00 - $176,300.00
