LEAF Data Analyst (Ft Worth, TX)

As the LEAF Data Analyst, You'll use your sophisticated statistical skills to support a variety of teams, including R+D, Clinical Strategy, Health Economics, and commercial teams at AWC. You'll be involved in crafting, developing, and reporting on research studies and clinical trials. Your role also includes collecting, analyzing, and interpreting biological and health science data across the US AWC, while solving complex statistical challenges in different settings.
What will you be doing?
- Design, analyze, and report findings on targeted research studies. You'll provide expert advice to R+D, Clinical Strategy, and Health Economics teams on experimental design and statistical methods.
- Collaborate with these teams to develop analysis plans, reporting specifications, and select appropriate statistical strategies. You'll ensure that measurements are reliable and models are accurate, helping to present and interpret results clearly.
- Assist in preparing clinical trial documents, reports, protocols, scientific abstracts, and peer-reviewed manuscripts. You'll also handle responses to regulatory agencies and other health authorities.
- Plan and coordinate computer data file structures, lead complex statistical databases, and be responsible for data entry.
- Use advanced statistical software and methods to capture, analyze, and interpret research data. You'll help the team draw valuable conclusions from the data.
- If needed, you'll develop improvements to statistical software by programming new techniques. Staying updated on emerging trends in statistical analysis methodology is key.
- Perform other job-related tasks as needed.
What will you need to be successful?
You’ll need a Master's degree and at least 3 years of proven experience for this role. Your background should include a solid understanding of scientific research methods and the principles of statistical research. You’ll be applying advanced statistical techniques to support various research studies, so experience with statistical software like SAS or similar tools is important. You should feel comfortable managing complex databases, processing data, and generating reports.
Collaboration is key, as you’ll work with scientific investigators to interpret research needs and develop appropriate analysis strategies. You should also be able to analyze, interpret, and draw substantial conclusions from complex statistical information. Staying updated on emerging trends in sophisticated statistical analysis will help you stay ahead.
Your ability to create scientific reports and manuscripts that meet professional standards is critical. Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills will help you thrive in a team setting. Leadership, time management, and a focus on quality are also meaningful for success in this role. Having a deep understanding of probability, medical statistics, data management principles, and regulatory requirements will make you an invaluable part of the team.
