This role

The Legal Assistant will join a global Legal & Compliance team to support implementation and execution of legal controls related to the Mexico regulatory obligations and PayJoy programs, as well as provide support to the Operations Mexico Team for maintaining records of third party service provider contracts and related projects, under direct supervision.

The successful candidate will be able to partner proactively with other teams, provide solutions and legal certainty, communicate and timely escalate matters to continue operating in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and work ethics

Responsibilities

• Management, draft and review commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Manage and respond to complaints regarding consumer protection authorities (CONDUSEF & PROFECO)
• Manage third party service provider contracts and documents while interacting with external legal counsel.
• Support the execution of controls for regulatory Compliance in Mexico including KYC requirements and Customer Complaints responses.

Requirements

• Law degree
• Strong legal reasoning
• Basic experience or no experience needed.
• Strong teamwork skills
• Strong ethical record and behavior
• Ability to work by key objective metrics
• Intermediate spoken and written English (B2)
