We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join the Dora Team. This role is critical in managing and overseeing our legal matters related to investment and financing, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks across our operations. If you are passionate about providing top-notch legal support in a fast-paced and innovative environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary reviews and provide interpretations of legal documents, focusing on investment contracts, corporate governance, and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and advisors to manage legal processes and disputes related to investment and financing transactions across various jurisdictions.
• Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, and best practices in investment and financing activities.
• Actively participate in contract negotiations, draft and review agreements to safeguard company interests, particularly focusing on investment agreements, funding documents, and financial instruments.
• Draft and maintain user agreements for dorahacks.io, ensuring compliance with laws and effective data protection.
• Maintain and update company legal documents, ensuring secure and accessible digital storage.
• Oversee drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements; manage employee relations, including terminations, and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
• Identify and manage legal risks, stay updated on relevant laws, and represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations as necessary.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Licensed to practice law, preferably in the jurisdiction where the company operates.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience in investment and financing law required. Experience in corporate governance and compliance is a plus.
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English for effective communication is required.
