Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 firm and the leading global immigration services firm, is looking to hire a Legal Writer who will be responsible for analyzing and writing complex business immigration cases. Our Legal Writers work closely with Fragomen Attorneys on drafting and writing the most complex cases.
How you will make a difference as a Legal Writer at Fragomen:
- Research, analyze and write complex business immigration cases.
- Translate complex terminology into accessible, compelling, and relevant content for "outstanding researcher" and other petitions to the USCIS
- Create case strategy and work closely with Attorneys on writing projects
- Working closely with members of the legal team to ensure the accuracy of all information.
- Working independently and managing multiple writing projects simultaneously.
- Possess strong understanding of or ability to learn immigration law and the firms' network of clients, cases and legal teams.
- Applying excellent proofreading and editing skills to case-writing content and other materials.
Let's talk if you have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors, Master's degree or PhD in Creative Writing, English, Journalism, or writing related field
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft persuasive arguments and compelling narratives that highlight our clients' exceptional abilities and qualifications
- 2-5 years' experience as a Legal (EB-1/O-1 visa cases) or Technical Writer preferred but not required
- Demonstrate cross-cultural communication skills and ability to interface with a variety of internal and external clients
- Strong research skills, with experience in legal research preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively with clients.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- In addition to the qualifications listed above, the ideal candidate should have a passion for immigration law and a commitment to helping individuals with extraordinary abilities achieve their immigration goals. The candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work well under pressure.
