Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYÂ
The Logistics Lead is responsible for ensuring effective management of the customer’s supply chain information using the internal Transportation Management System. This role is typically assigned to a region, mode, business unit or small account to assist in the delegation of operational tasks. This person is accountable for achieving operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement within their area of responsibility as well as within their team. The incumbent in this role will champion and use the enterprise project-based delivery model to identify, manage, and drive projects to conclusion within their team.Â

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:Â

Ensure all arrangements are made for the execution of shipments through designated area of responsibilityÂ
-
Mentor and support lower-level logistics peers by sharing expertise and best practicesÂ
-
Create and document standard operating processesÂ
-
Manage complex exceptions and drive problem solving to prevent the reoccurrence of problems and improve processesÂ
-
Assist in the facilitation of cross training within assigned teamÂ
-
Responsible for meeting operational targets within a particular region, mode, business unit, or small accountÂ
-
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, carriers, and vendors by leading calls, meetings, and internal systems trainings and addressing concernsÂ
-
Utilize analytical practices to identify and solve problemsÂ
-
Build and present intermediate to complex business cases related to how customers can achieve ROIÂ
-
Collaborate with internal service teams to execute strategies that align with customer objectives and CHR’s business goalsÂ
-
Apply the enterprise project-based delivery model in day-to-day workÂ
-
Lead small sized operations-focused continuous improvement projects utilizing the enterprise project-based delivery model Â
-
Conduct CHR systems training for external customer representatives to ensure effective utilization of CHR’s servicesÂ
-
Lead team efforts in reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reportsÂ
-
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Required:Â
-
High School Diploma and/or GEDÂ
-
Minimum 6 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or LogisticsÂ
-
Minimum 3 years of prior experience working with and troubleshooting information systemsÂ
-
Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion, including overtime hours when requestedÂ
-
Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and/or international)Â
-
Site Specific: Fluent in English and the primary language of the applicable regionÂ
Preferred:Â

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or universityÂ
-
Demonstrated high level of proactivity and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experienceÂ

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsÂ
-
Prior experience creating and delivering presentations to senior level managementÂ
-
Ability to gather, translate, and act upon voice of customerÂ

Ability to direct activities of small work groupÂ

Ability to act as a subject matter expertÂ

Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, data analysis, and efficient, accurate problem-solvingÂ
