WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
This position is the logistics and international trade specialist for TMS Latin America. This person will be responsible for supporting all the logistics related activities (budget, negotiations, billing, import/export management, scheduling with carriers and 3rd party logistics providers), client management, planning, execution and post promotional analysis for the Latin America business. The primary goal of this function is to ensure that product is delivered on-time, within budget and at a competitive rate. Will be responsible for managing an annual budget of $2.7MM as well as suppliers.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
Direct interface with clients and gatekeeper.

  • Responsible for developing, with the clients, their 'assured supply' plans to ensure every


promotion breaks on time with no break in supply.

  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs for the clients.
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.


Key duties and responsibilities relating to Latin America .

  • Ensure all export and import documentation is provided on-time and is accurate.
  • Serve as the logistics operations representative on all Latin America (inter/intra company) project teams.
  • Manage and forecast supply needs and adjust accordingly.
  • Proactively advise Promotions Management of exceptions that will effect on-time product availability. Consult Promotions Management/Market Management/Customers on alternative solutions, cost implications, and recommended course of action.
  • Post promotional logistics analysis and reporting of tactical and budgetary results to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide "total cost" analysis for product offerings (Happy Meal, Packaging, other Promotional Executions) to the different clients (both McD's and DLs).
  • Manage client claims related to damaged, late, and/or missing product.
  • Manage customs export issues.
  • Maintain knowledge related to market legislations and trends, and the consumer goods industry.
  • Ensure processes are documented and perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.


Key duties and responsibilities relating to Supplier Management:

  • Partner and communicate with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Responsible for supplier negotiations, vendor selection (sea, land, air), account management and contractual negotiations criteria in accordance with company and client policies & procedures.
  • Manage the RFQ analysis on a yearly basis for every Latin America market supported by our company.
  • On-board new suppliers and ensure the provider meets minimum standards. Develop implementation plans with a closely monitored roll-out plan.
  • Provide day to day support and interface to third party logistics service providers to ensure flawless line of supply execution.
  • Proactively analyze and monitor various status reports to identify potential delays or breaks in supply.
    • Develop realistic alternative solutions with cost implication.
    • Recommend course of action and execute agreed upon tactics to ensure no break in supply.
  • Continuously strive to identify opportunities to enhance line of supply reliability and cost effectiveness.


Key duties and responsibilities relating to Finance:

  • Develop annual logistics budgets for all Latin America programs and markets. Annual spend estimated at $2.7MM.
  • Measure spend vs plan and identify challenges/gaps along with a resolution.
  • Manage all invoicing, client billing, and supplier payments.
  • Post promotional logistics analysis and reporting of tactical and budgetary results.
  • Annual spend reports, by market, presented to gatekeeper.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
Required

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (Portuguese a plus)
  • 5-7 years of International Logistics Experience
  • 5+ years of triangle trade experience
  • Supplier negotiation experience
  • Logistics experience in Latin America and Asia
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio


Required

  • B.S., B.A. Supply Chain, operations, or Logistics Related or equivalent work experience.
