Machine Learning Engineer

Cadent powers the evolution of TV brand advertising. We provide marketers, agencies, operators, and media owners with data-driven solutions for buying and selling TV advertising. By connecting brands with opportunities across national inventory sources—cable, broadcast, and digital media—our technology improves efficiencies and boosts the results of linear, addressable, and cross-screen campaigns.

Right now we are looking for a highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer who will be responsible for building high impact, distributed systems in cloud. They will refactor, evaluate, and deploy models into production, including but not limited to machine learning, signal processing and optimization solutions. The ML Engineer will collaborate directly with Researchers/Scientists and engineering to productize research as business software.

Our ideal player will:

• Create infrastructure as code (IaC) across multiple providers using Terraform
• Experience with workflow orchestration and DAG creation (Airflow, Prefect, etc.)
• Experience creating portable and scalable services using tools like Docker, K8s, etc.
• Refactor legacy jobs across languages and tools. E.g. MapReduce to BigQuery or PySpark
• Develop microservices and other MLE and MLOps solutions using Python
• Design and develop data, model, and pipeline quality frameworks
• Strong experience with deploying and maintaining production data science models. This includes CI/CD, monitoring, testing, feature engineering and feedback.
• Design and develop a feature store for model I/O using SQL and big data tools
• Create data models to facilitate data storage and retrieval across OLTP, OLAP and No-SQL
• Follow the CRISP-DM to generate robust documentation associated with iterative work
• Perform analysis on large and complex datasets; develop dashboards using BI tools
• Design and develop data governance and model governance architecture and code
• Develop a close working relationship with Product and Data Science to understand the product vision, requirements and key interdependencies regarding DS models.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the engineering research team and broader data services group, including but not limited to Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Performance Engineers, Software Engineers and Business Intelligence analyst

Our ideal player will have:

• B.S. or higher in computer science, engineering or related discipline with a focus on machine learning or data science. Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred.
• At least 5 years of professional experience for B.S., 3 years of experience for M.S.
• Practical experience in designing, building, scaling, and deploying machine learning pipelines with AWS and or GCP.
• Expert general programming skills. Fluency in Python and SQL are required.
• Expert in relational and no-sql database databases. Proven experience with DML and DDL with MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server. Proven experience with Athena and or Google Big Query.
