Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and driven Machine Learning Engineer that can work with our Software Engineers to bring our styling engine algorithms to the next level!

What You Will Do

• Design and implement scalable machine learning and deep learning algorithms
• Participate in the development and evaluation of algorithms for optimization of business and system performance metrics
• Perform analyses to determine/demonstrate potential impact of machine learning efforts
• Deliver accurate and performant models for product attribution and product bundling
• Track down and help to address data quality and algorithm effectiveness gaps
• Document hypotheses and results in a clear and concise manner
• Help improve our image processing (image segmentation, feature extraction, etc.) algorithms
• Share technical knowledge with other engineers and with internal and client data teams
• Create and enhance data validation and standardization systems and practices
• Collaborate with the rest of software engineering team to improve the overall quality of our software

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with ML in production environment, with great track record of deploying ML projects to production
• Strong background in applied statistics, applied mathematics, linear algebra, algorithmic design
• Deep Learning Expertise with clear understanding of concepts like CNN, RNN/LSTMs
• Proficient in Python and SQL, and with ML / Deep Learning toolkits
• Great communicator
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams with a strong sense of self-direction

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics
• Hands-on experience in computer vision, image processing, and/or NLP
• Good understanding of low-level CPU and GPU performance
• Pytorch Experience
• Clojure experience (or willingness to learn!)
