About You
You are a self-starter Machine Learning and Python Engineer with expertise in machine learning, big data analytics, AWS cloud services, and Web Applications. Your proficiency extends to building and executing sophisticated data processing systems and analytical solutions. With a forward-thinking approach, you excel in harnessing the full potential of cutting-edge cloud services and ML to propel business intelligence and foster technological innovation.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the development of Machine Learning and Cloud technology that powers our Narrative Analytics® offering. This includes web application development, performing AWS maintenance, writing Python scripts, and coding new tools, and machine learning algorithms to refine data analysis processes. Specific responsibilities include:
- Design and development of Python web applications, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable codebase.
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to transform data science prototypes into scalable and efficient production-quality solutions.
- Design and implement data architectures on AWS, using best practices for security, scalability, and efficiency.
- Take initiative in solving complex technical problems and recommend original solutions and design approaches to meet requirements, making decisions between competing solutions.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Nvidia Triton).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
- Work in sprints to create, design, and develop modules in coordination with the rest of the Engineering Team.
Requirements
- Must be able to work on US Government contracts that may prohibit or restrict the use of foreign nationals.
- Must be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working on a production product with a collaborative team.
- Python Scripting, Django or Flask
- Experience with Postgres (or similar) SQL database programming.
- Experience working with Agile scrum or Kanban methodology to deliver high-quality, high value software
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services; AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer is preferred.
- Proficiency in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Airflow).
Position Pay Band
$80,000 - $160,000 based on education and level of relevant experience.
