Machine Learning Operations (Conversational AI)

Job Summary:

Responsible for using our internal data assets to deliver performant, scalable, and impactful data focused solutions across the business. Develops and documents optimal processes, working with data, and understanding the needs of end users. Delivers increased performance of our existing portfolio of voice and text based NLP models, granularity of algorithmic decision making, and scalability of solutions across our core lines of business. Owns end to end architecture and deployment of data processing, model execution, and delivery of our team's machine learning solutions to activation and decision endpoints across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads the integration and democratization of new technologies that bring agility and efficiency in data analytics procedures.
• Optimizes models for deployment on cloud infrastructure and embedded hardware.
• Design and develop machine learning models using latest technologies. Prior experience in healthcare is highly desired. Expertise in processing voice, NLP
• Work on NLP and machine learning architecture design, experimentation, QA/testing and improving existing machine learning models
• Maintaining model versions and metadata
• Develop production level software for machine learning infrastructure (data pipelines, testing frameworks, model deployment, MLOPS)
• Optimize models for performance and scalability (for better latency and throughput)
• Monitoring model performance, maintenance, debugging
• Solution architecture and proof of concepts for testing latest machine learning and NLP, voice processing technologies. Perform A/B testing of candidate models.
• Work with software engineers and data scientists to integrate ML models into production systems on the cloud and in embedded systems
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in machine learning and related fields
• Supports all projects in the Center of Excellence and contributes to high impact problems.
• Implements efficient training procedures and integrates models into production systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of experience with speech recognition, or High School diploma/GED and at least five years of experience with speech recognition.
• 2+ years of industry experience in machine learning and NLP
• Expertise in programming SQL, Python, deep learning, Pytorch, Tensorflow. Excellent software development experience
• Automated deployment of trained machine learning models on cloud platforms
• Experience in speech processing, NLP, voice to text processing, speaker ID, speech emotion processing and translation
• At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
• Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Linguistics or Cognitive Science
• Experience in analysis, visualization, and interpretation of model output
• Experience with Nuance speech recognition software, speech synthesis software, and voice biometrics software
• Working with cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud/Google Cloud Platform. MLOps related experience for deployment in production
• Fluent or near fluent in Spanish
• Experience with retail and/or the healthcare industry
• Team Management
