All Posting Locations:Jacksonville, FL, US Job Functions:Manufacturing Date Published:July 9, 2025 Ref#:R-94467 ABOUT THE ROLE Job Description PURPOSE –Operates machines that perform filling and packaging functions. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES – Reads production work schedule outlining sequence of work orders to be completed. Reviews work order to determine the size of film, tape, boxes, and other supplies have been provided at work stations. Verifies correct product, films, boxes, etc. Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunction of machine. Tracks film to ensure that front and back are lined up properly. Makes minor adjustments as needed. Eye registration, moving scanner and adjusting box index. Ensures that all safety equipment is in place before operating machine. Makes up boxes; loads film; checks product supply; sets up totes and pumps Inspects filled packets to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications. Inspect packet checking for leaks and/or seeps. Seals packaged boxes with tape. Places sealed boxes on pallets and palletize in a neat manner according to pallet configurations. Fills out production work order properly. Start/stop times, down time codes, and packaging material used. In case of jam- up removes front die, removes basic teflon and cleans up jam- up. Operates all filling and packaging machinery. Dismantles, cleans, Sanitizes equipment. Performs minor mechanical repairs and light PM’S. Completes changeovers as per production schedule. Performs Material Handler functions, Operator Assistant functions, and Sanitation functions as necessary. Assists in training of other Machine Operators. Participates in meetings and process improvement teams. Performs all PQC (packaging quality control) checks. Enters all required data into IQS(Infinity QS) data base. Drive yield improvements through OSCAR and other initiatives to reduce losses. Work overtime as needed. Performs other duties as requested by Lead or Supervisor. Operates equipment in a safe manner following GMP guidelines and keeps work area clean. Supports the Jacksonville plant FSQ and QRMP initiatives on any and all procedures/programs pertaining to product safety. Fills in for other positions as necessary. Additional responsibilities of this position include assisting in the creation of a culture of safety and health by performing work safely in accordance with all company safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor. Occupational safety and health performance is measured in this position KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES- • Effective analytical, reasoning, math, and organizational Skills. • Previous experience in food/beverage manufacturing is desired. • Solid understanding of process improvement method is desired. • Capable of completing work on a tablet. • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, repetitive lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
