Job Summary

Leviat is seeking a Machine Operator to maintain and operate machinery. Candidates must have a strong understanding of the machines they work with, and in-depth training may be required to prepare for daily duties. Machine operators may work with mechanical or computer-operated equipment. They must be technically inclined and able to properly utilize tools and machinery. Candidates for this position should be detail-oriented and willing to learn. This position will work closely with all levels of management and employees to ensure safety and promote our safety culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment, inspect, and prepare parts for shipment per SOP/VOP.
• Notify supervisor of non-conforming products or problems with machine, materials, etc.
• Communicate production issues with the next shift operator.
• Follow specific processes and procedures as outlined in SOP/VOP.
• Assist other operators in setting up machines and other necessary tasks to meet deadlines and complete production.
• Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• At least 1 year experience and/or training, preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
• Ability to read a tape measure and caliper.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as requested.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Lifting no more than 40 lbs.
• Intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking, and squatting.
• Standing for long periods of time.
