Job Description

β€’ Job Profile Summary Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance and basic technical repairs in various building and utility/support systems. Assists with maintaining life safety systems and required documentation. β€’ Major Responsibilities: β€’ Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and documents tasks through the computerized maintenance system. β€’ Assists in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and performs repairs as directed. β€’ Operates and monitors and maintains basic Utility System Infrastructure. β€’ Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems. β€’ Supports the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision. β€’ Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance. β€’ Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required: β€’ Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of technical training. β€’ Valid Driver’s License Education Required: β€’ High school diploma or GED equivalent Experience Required: β€’ 2-4 Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: β€’ Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures. β€’ Intermediate level computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, Microsoft Office, Building Automation Systems. β€’ Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. β€’ Ability to work with minimal oversight with intermediate level technical skills in facility maintenance. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: β€’ Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage. β€’ Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. β€’ Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance. β€’ Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force. β€’ Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions. β€’ Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards. β€’ Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. Preferred Job Requirements: β€’ Recognized community college/tech school trade certificate experience or completion of a recognized community college program. β€’ Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education Units or periodic renewal to maintain. β€’ 2+ Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
