The Security and Mission Assurance Strategic Support Unit provides discriminating support to the business to ensure success. We focus on threat identification, risk assessment, and mitigation while improving the efficiency of the business through effective governance and analysis of process, data and overall business knowledge.
Manager - Aerospace Security
Provide program security management in support of Ball Aerospace programs requiring special security processes and procedures (SAP, SCI, and Collateral), to include personnel, physical, technical, information, and industrial security.
What You'll Do:
  • Assist senior leadership in developing strategic direction for Aerospace Security and lead employees and the company into innovative and new directions to accomplish the organization's goals.
  • Ensure all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and is in compliance with all applicable laws, statues, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.
  • Interface with both internal and external Special Access Programs Customers to ensure security requirements are understood and properly implemented.
  • Select, motivate, and counsel employees; administer salary and budget programs; ensure employee safety; plan, organize, integrate, and measure work performed within the department.
  • Develop and execute security awareness, training, and education programs for program-accessed individuals, business unit management, and security professionals; ensure direct reports have a professional development plan.
  • Prepare and present functional metrics (personnel access processing, security incidents, etc.) that demonstrate value and support business processes.
  • Provide special security administration and management in accordance with USG contractual security requirements.
  • Investigate security incidents and violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
  • Ensure customer compliance requirements are met, maintain 100% readiness for inspections, and assist customers with inspections; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Present indoctrination, debrief, and refresher training for program briefed personnel regarding obligations to protect classified information.
  • Investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of required documentation in accordance with company procedures and government regulations.
  • Coordinate with other service support organizations to ensure program operations support fulfills growth requirements.
  • Provide input to proposal efforts to ensure expected security requirements are adequately reflected in new programmatic efforts.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:
  • BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • Extensive Special Access Programmatic experience working with applicable US Government regulatory guidance concerning special program security management to include the Risk Management Framework, all Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) relevant to contractor program execution, and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Acquisition Manual (NAM) and NRO Security Manual (NSM).
  • Certifications within critical functional areas are a plus; Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), Industrial Security Professional (ISP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Special Program Security Certification (SPSC).

Full-Time On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site full-time. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Verification that your current security clearance or government customer access meets the requirement for this position will be required.
Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $121,500 - $167,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
