Job Description

The Manager of Manufacturing Operations will lead the Pharmaceutical Development Service Manufacturing Departments dedicated to sterile products (liquid and lyophilized) to be used for clinical and commercial purpose. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will join a driven team dedicated to achieving excellence in our manufacturing operations. Your contributions will play a crucial role in upholding our industry-leading standards and effectively implementing creative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of operational departments within PDS to ensure goals are met.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Science and Formulation/Process Scientists to successfully transfer products from clients or other network sites.
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to improve flexibility and efficiency in manufacturing lines.
  • Monitor and train department staff to ensure adherence to GMP procedures and EH&S standards.
  • Strictly control costs and ensure budget compliance while meeting client needs.
  • Lead a dedicated visual inspection team as well as freeze driers experts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing operations role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to determine priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in GMP procedures and EH&S standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience on Isolators and Pre Filled Syringes processes would be beneficial.
