Job Overview 

As the Manager of Sale Development your job is threefold: (1) Lead a team of SDRs responsible for engaging warm leads and converting them into qualified opportunities for the sales team, (2) Train other members of the SDR team, and (3) take on operational and administrative tasks to help the SDR team perform and exceed expectations. You will be a source of knowledge and best practices amongst the SDRs, and will help to train, onboard, and mentor new SDRs with the help of the Learning and Development team.


What you'll do:

  • Train other members of the SDR team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities.
  • Facilitate strong relationships with Demand Generation and partner cross-functionally to effectively execute marketing campaigns within our total addressable market
  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to conduct business to business sales grow
  • Ensure SDR team members improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring 1:1s
  • Plan for hiring and onboarding new SDRs.
  • Actively drive performance/productivity KPIs by conducting 1 on 1 coaching/ goal setting, problem solving, and assist with identifying performance and market trends
  • Work closely with the Demand Generation and Sales team.
  • Work closely with Sales and the Demand Generation team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes  
  • Work closely with leadership to identify key company accounts to develop.
  • Work in collaboration with Content, Campaign Managers, and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to your team’s assigned accounts
  • Provide business updates through reporting and work closely with our analytics team.


What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales/business development with a consistent track record of overachievement of quota expectations
  • 1+ year of experience in sales management with a consistent track record of overachievement of quota expectations
  • Experience in successfully hiring and onboarding SDRs
  • Experience building out new SDR team segments, including processes and strategies
  • Sales coaching with experience in prospecting and lead generation
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Experience in SaaS sales is preferred
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
  • Passionate about technology and learning more about AvidXchange
  • Continuous learner and career growth minded

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
