Your Role

We're searching for our next Manager, Operational Resilience Risk for our team in the Enterprise Risk & Controls Team. You will be part of the Operational Resilience (OR) team within Operational Risk Management department and contribute to the success of Invesco's global Operational Resilience program and ERM Framework. As a Senior Analyst you will work on the oversight of global adherence to OR regulatory requirements / expectations and enterprise risk management policy.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the business to build resilience and sustainability by embedding measures to prevent, respond to, recover and learn from operational disruptions, with a particular focus on important business services, and critical third parties, technology, data, premises and people.
  • Maintaining and developing a program of work that delivers on the regulatory requirements for operational resilience, including reviewing the mapping of important business services, overseeing testing against impact tolerance thresholds and the remediation of vulnerabilities; as well as monitoring key risk indicators.
  • Fulfilling the 2nd line of defence role of 'advice, co-ordination, monitoring and challenge'.
  • Working with the 1st line of defence to further develop the OR program, ensuring compliance with OR regulatory requirements and expectations, policy guidelines and ensure relevant controls, procedures and documentation are in place for internal and external audits.
  • Assisting in managing the global governance model for identification and reassessment of important business services and ensure appropriate thresholds for impact tolerances have been set.
  • Promoting cross-regional engagement and ensure that applicable regional regulations are met through the global program or identify where supplemental work efforts may need to be established.
  • Leading on writing the self-assessment report, resenting output to business leaders for validation then executive committees and Legal Entity Boards for review and approval.
  • Assisting in the co-ordination of operational resilience regulatory engagements and responses, including the preparation of materials.
  • Developing and updating materials in support of operational resilience, including policies and standards, frameworks and methodologies, overviews, and educational guidance.
  • Providing oversight on test exercises to (under severe but plausible scenarios) and overseeing the lessons learned.
  • Providing oversight on activities to assess resilience of critical resources that support each important business service
  • Supporting Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs)

The experience you bring:

  • A track record of working across legal entities and countries to develop engagement models that support an effective approach to OR.
  • Good understanding of operational resilience requirements or deep understanding of operational risk management frameworks and activities at a practical level, including the delivery of operational resilience as an outcome of an effective framework
  • Promote and drive awareness of OR globally across businesses and represent Invesco at industry working groups and conferences.
  • Project/program management experience (AGILE) including the creation of project plans, budgets, risks and issues and status reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular ability to write concise and accurate reports and create and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal), with an ability to express views clearly & fluently, consider the audience, avoiding technical jargon where necessary & appropriate
  • Ability to manage workload to meet realistic targets and priorities, demonstrating a high-level of commitment and self-motivation, combined with enthusiasm and a genuine interest in resilience.
