How you’ll make a difference:
As a Manager of Sales Development, you will play a critical role in Allego’s ability to achieve our ambitious sales goals. You will partner with your Director and Sales business partners to co-lead the engine that powers Allego’s sales pipeline. You’ll be a source of knowledge and best practices amongst the SDRs, helping to train, onboard, and mentor each member of the team. By effectively managing and developing the SDR team, you’ll play a key role in the company’s success in meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals. Success in this role is defined as helping Allego achieve its pipeline and revenue goals that will catapult the organization to the next level.
At Allego, we believe a strong, prescriptive sales process and methodology helps accelerate our success. In this role you will learn, practice, and be a champion of our process. Scaling the SDR team will greatly depend on sustaining a repeatable model. You will be integral to Allego’s success through:
- Attracting, hiring, and onboarding high potential SDRs
- Implementing and optimizing team processes to ensure operational efficiency
- Providing ongoing coaching and support on cold-calling, sales methodology, prospecting, tools, and other topics relevant to the success of our SDRs
- Designing and Facilitating daily morning stand-up meetings that engage and energize our SDRs
- Coaching and developing SDRs to meet and exceed individual goals
- Collaborating closely with the marketing team to assess lead quality, actively tracking and managing successful handling of leads to ensure compliance with SLA, ensuring alignment on strategy and execution
- Working closely with the Sales Operations team to identify operational needs, challenges or issues relating to tools, processes and other initiatives
- Reporting, tracking, and managing the team’s activities and results in Salesforce
- Working closely with sales team as the main point of contact for addressing opportunities to improve SDR performance
- Fostering a positive and collaborative team spirit and building an inclusive work environment
- Developing plans to help all SDR achieve success including coaching plans and performance improvement plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role
- 1+ years of experience managing a sales development team
- A passion for sales development
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach and motivate others
- Time management and organization skills
- Strong work ethic and drive to hit daily and monthly metrics
- Dedicated and collaborative team player
