Our eMobility segment is currently seeking a Manager of Technical Program Leads for our Power Distribution & Protection global product line in Southfield, MI or Tualatin, OR.

In this role, you will be a global engineering leader for eMobility Power Distribution and Protection products, responsible for leading a team that develops customer solutions, scopes programs, and defines engineering resources necessary to successfully execute new product development programs. You relentlessly improve your technical and interpersonal skills, and you thrive on the successful development of products that change how power is managed in electric vehicles

* Lead and develop a high performing team responsible for all systems engineering activities on high voltage power distribution and protection product development programs, serving the xEV market
* Acts externally as the technical customer interface for the product/program engineering team, partnering with customers to provide
innovative and valuable system, subsystem, and component level solutions to their vehicle challenges.
* You and your team develop, negotiate, and manage specifications and product requirements based on OEM and Eaton design team input
* Develop and deploy tools for your team to develop and manage requirements according to the systems engineering "V" model, including at the component, subsystem, system, and vehicle, level.
* Obtain/utilize six sigma green belt or back belt with extensive use of and the ability to coach tools (risk management, DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, P Diagrams, Pugh matrices, reliability growth, etc.)
* Collaborate across the organization with the pursuits, technical strategy, applications, and program management teams
* Prepares presentations to effectively communicate status, highlights, risks, mitigation plans to executive leadership
*Supports team to ensure the achievement of the required product maturity over the product life cycle

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field from a nationally accredited university
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in new product development of automotive or transportation based products
  • Minimum 2 years of Leadership experience within an engineering sector.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this role. All candidates considerd must currently reside within 50 miles of Southfield Michigan or Tualatin OR.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from geographical area limitation.
  • Ability to work in US without immediate or future Visa sponsorship assistance of any kind.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at an automotive tier 1 or tier 2 supplier.
  • Minimum 5 years of Systems Engineering experience .
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience developing high voltage automotive power distribution or power electronics products.
  • Advanced understanding of electric vehicle drivetrain/powertrain systems and battery packs .
  • Experience developing products with die castings, stampings, injection mold plastics, and PCB assemblies
  • Experience developing products with ISO 26262 functional safety requirements, certification preferred
  • Experience developing products with ASPICE certification
  • Hands-on vehicle based skills & experience (Mechanical, Electrical, and / or Software)
  • Experience with IBM Jazz Tools
  • Experience with AUTOSAR framework
  • Experience with Vector Tools such as CANape and CANalyzer
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink system level development tools
  • Experience with Agile Development Processes
