CoStar is seeking a Managing Director to lead a geographically distributed team of market analysts across eastern United States. The Managing Director has the overall responsibility for staffing, content production, and content quality of the CoStar Market Analytics product offering in that region. The ideal candidate possesses strong people leadership and communication skills, commercial real estate expertise, and a proven record of producing analytic content.

The position can be based in any major city in eastern or central United States. This senior-level role will report to CoStar's Vice President of Market Analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage market analysts working in major cities across eastern United States
• Ensure timely production of high-quality written content and presentation materials by market analysts
• Give direction on style and substance of market analyst content
• Maintain daily communication with market analysts
• Measure results and manage to results of regional market analyst group

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 10 years of experience in the real estate industry
• Managerial experience working with geographically dispersed teams; strong coaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to manage and implement change
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Familiarity with local real estate markets and cities in the region
• Polished presentation and communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior executives
• A degree in economics, finance, or real estate (graduate degree preferred)
• Ability to travel regularly within region
