Our team is responsible for the build, test, and delivery of multiple products ranging from ground navigation to unmanned aircraft autopilot systems. The Coralville Top Level team is searching for a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer to support our UAS team improving test yields and pushing our test equipment to updated platforms as technologies around the products continue to advance. Successful candidate will support our test technicians in the troubleshoot of deliverable product as well as test equipment to ensure we are able to meet customer delivery needs.This role will be performed onsite at our Collins location in Coralville, IA.

This position may be eligible for relocationWhat You Will Do:
- Participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve test yields, production throughput, test capacity, and overall product Quality.
- Identify component test failure trends and perform root cause analysis. Implement corrective actions to resolve. Prepare test failure analysis reports as required for production.
- Study performance and reliability of existing test equipment and establish programs and solutions for decreasing test equipment downtime.
- Analyze test approach, plans, and processes for cost reduction, test efficiency, test yields, and manufacturing test capacity opportunities.
- Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for accurate staffing and test equipment needs. Identify new test approaches that will minimize production staffing needs and capital requirements.
- Select and order capital test equipment using sound cost/payback analysis. Generate and track Appropriation Requests.
- Improve existing test fixtures and equipment needed to improve test performance.
- Participates in Production Readiness Reviews to determine suitability of new designs for production.
- Support efforts to conduct gage R&R efforts on new test solutions to verify consistent product and equipment performance. Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple assembly process steps
- Analyze and understand factory needs and requirements.
- Conduct Process Flow analysis and make improvements.
- Develop tools that enable manufacturing or increase production rates.
- Implement Procedure and process improvements based on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Improving production facilities and equipment layouts
- Enhance your technical skills for the entire product test process, board level through top-level test.
- Improve & Maintain test documentation for current configuration and oversee accurate change management procedures for all test documents.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The ability to obtain and Maintain a U.S government issued security clearance is required
- Manufacturing and or electrical component trouble-shooting experience
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Experience with equipment and factory layouts

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
