Marketing Student Intern - West Chester Univ.

Job Description

The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with marketing initiatives while providing customer service. The ideal candidate must be a student at WCU (with Marketing as a Major or Minor strongly encouraged). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

Hours per week: 10-20
A flexible schedule during the week; both day and night is a plus!

General Expectations:

• Knowledgeable about Meal Plans and overall Dining Services Program
• Friendly and engaging personality
• Adhere to all policies/ procedures
• Detail oriented
• Creative
• Social Media, Photography and Video experience
• Canva usage for graphic design
• Autonomous work environment
• Utilize the tools and technology available to sell meal plans and promote dining services.
• Office administration tasks
• Able to prioritize and carry out work tasks

Qualifications

• Likes to have fun at work and demonstrates a sales competitive nature
• Interest in Sales/ Marketing
• Desire to actively engage with customers to promote and grow meal plan sales and dining services
• Work well independently and with a team
• Self-motivated and strong communicator with managers, customers, and parents

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
