Marketing Talent Acquisition Internship

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held organization, with roots firmly planted in agriculture and agriculture-related businesses. The J.R. Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.

As an intern in the Talent and Culture department at J.R. Simplot Company, you will be an intricate part of a fast-paced, future-oriented team at one of the nation's largest privately held food and agribusiness companies. You will be tasked with creating marketing material for our University Relation program and for our Talent Acquisition team. As part of our team, you will make an impact through your project management abilities, strategic mindset, creative writing skills, passion for design, and social media to help the team pull them all together to provide a clear and cohesive talent branding plan.

The assignment is expected to last 12 months; part-time while school is in session, and full-time during the summer. The candidate for this position must live locally.

Key Responsibilities

• Showcase Simplot's culture, environment, work, and opportunities via our social media, and digital media channels

• Collaborate with team members to ensure we tell our employment story in the most innovative and compelling ways

• Execute media plan components such as marketing ad placements and job postings by coordinating with the Talent team

• Collaborate closely with Talent Partners and University Relations team to execute project plans designed to meet the staffing objectives for the J.R.Simplot company

• Develop marketing materials to attract candidates to Simplot

• Support the College Recruiting Program

• Work on additional assignments for the Talent Acquisition team

Typical Education

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Candidate must be Sophomore or Junior standing

Ideal Candidate

• Prior experience in marketing, communications, or social media

• Graphic Design skills

• PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Canva, and Outlook.

• Must be willing and able to work effectively both in and away from the office

• Passionate and knowledgeable about social media channels such as Facebook and LinkedIn

• Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively with senior management.

• The ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently.

• The ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment.

• Self-direction, a high level of detail-orientation, problem-solving skills with a burning desire to contribute to the organization's reputation and success
