As part of our Industry and Solution Strategy team, we are hiring a Martech Strategy Director. With a command of technical and soft skills, and exhibiting substantive business acumen, the Martech Strategy Director will utilize their knowledge, experience, and thought leadership to act as a strategic advisor to clients during the pre-sales and post-sales processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine Acxiom's solution and articulate Acxiom's right to win
  • Provide marketing solution and industry expertise on new logo and cross-sell opportunities that result in increased pipeline and exceeding revenue targets
  • Pre-sales: Partner with sales teams to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Post-sales: Partner with key account leadership on account planning, thought leadership, and strategic opportunities for growth
  • Work with sales and account management to understand customer problems
  • Set the solution vision, strategy, and positioning that will permeate client discussions, proposal content, and presentations
  • Lead the creation and presentation of the Acxiom solution roadmap
  • Focus on selling complex technical solutions in terms of business outcomes and industry care abouts. Explain complex concepts in simple terms by translating technical concepts into everyday language
  • Develop industry use cases and case studies to support sales opportunities
  • Communicate industry needs to product organization
  • Partner with product to develop industry-specific demos and talk tracks that demonstrate the uniqueness of the Acxiom value proposition
  • Understand competitive intelligence and stay up to date on market trends
  • Identify, lead, and collaborate on new innovative solutions and capabilities to drive and support growth strategy
  • Provide thought leadership in market through speaking engagements, webinars, conferences, blogs, articles, LinkedIn, analyst engagements, etc.

Qualifications

Required

  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions. Extensive understanding and/or hands-on experience in marketing and advertising technology products, solutions, platforms.
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Proven delivery of thought leadership (examples: speaking engagements, webinars, conferences, blogs, articles, LinkedIn)
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel

Differentiating Qualifications

  • Experience leading complex digital transformation projects at large organizations
  • Solid foundation in media and programmatic environments (supply-side and demand-side)
  • Strategic planning experience and the ability to build future-looking strategic marketing roadmaps
  • Experience presenting and/or moderating client-facing events
  • Solid understanding of multi-touch attribution and conversion metrics
  • Solid understanding of CDPs (Customer Data Platforms), DMPs (Data Management Platforms) and big data environments
  • Knowledge of cloud providers - Snowflake, GCP (Google Cloud Platform), and AWS (Amazon Web Services) environments
  • Knowledge of marketing cloud platforms - specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Adobe Experience Platform
