About The Role

Platform Science is looking for an experienced IT Manager to help grow and support our business systems and IT infrastructure. As a Platform Science IT Manager you will own our IT service management implementation and be an integral part of helping us scale our company. 

You’ll work with modern technology solutions and be empowered to make decisions that improve the operations and overall employee experience. Essential Responsibilities

• Manage and implement IT policies and best practice guides for the organization
• Lead and manage technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Manage IT programs and projects end to end with minimal supervision
• Provide coaching, support and direction for IT team members
• Lead the IT team and provide coaching and feedback with an intent to develop and enhance the knowledge and skills of the team
• Perform regular checks on network and data security
• Oversee administration of company hardware (primarily Macbook Pros)
• Manage team for SaaS Tooling: Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, Miro, Domo BI, 1Password, Backblaze and others.
• Provide technical expertise and management for local area networking, security infrastructure, office A/V, business continuity, monitory tools and VoIP based systems
• Prepare and maintain procedures, standards, and necessary documentation
• Provide customer satisfaction to both internal and external customers and strive to continuously improve service delivery
• Improve and Introduce best practice procedures, standards and policies.
• Research new technologies, products, tools and protocols to support evolution of network infrastructure and support systems
• Create efficiencies by getting a deeper understanding of current processes, data flows and system capabilities to streamline and/or automate offline processes

Experience

• 10+ years advanced IT application and network management
• 5 + years experience managing IT employees
• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Global Protect VPN and other security tools
• Experience with Anti-virus tools
• Strong experience with SMB office networks (switches and access points)
• Experience with with email security gateways like Proofpoint, Mimecast or Barracuda)
• Knowledgeable on Google Workspace
• Experience managing Okta IDP
• Basic knowledge of AWS infrastructure and networking
• Mobile Device Management; Hardware and Software Asset Management
• Experience managing cross-functional teams on projects 
• Strong documentation skills
• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services
• Experience supporting end users on MacOS machines
• Strong proficiency in computer hardware, cabling installation, end-user support, computer networking and IT security
• Strong change management and project management skills
• Highly effective verbal and written communications skills to collaborate, develop partnerships and collaboration with vendors, managers, and all team members
• Strong client-oriented focus 
• Must be able to analyze, interpret, and compile and analyze data, make recommendations and communicate trends to inform business and technical decisions across the company

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $121,331 and $176,405. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
