Zions Bancorporation is currently hiring a Model Risk Management Analyst to join our team! The position will be located in our downtown SLC office and will offer a 3/2 hybrid work schedule.
The successful applicant will play a critical role in the Company's process for independently managing model risk. The environment is dynamic, as model assessment work will involve multiple areas of the bank (credit, operations, interest-rate risk).
Specific job duties include:
- Participating in the Company's model governance processes, including maintaining the model inventory, model risk reporting, and overseeing model performance monitoring.
- Administration of model risk management findings.
- Validations/reviews of critical calculators and low risk models.
- Summarizing work in formal written reports.
- Prioritizing and negotiating resolution of identified model issues.
- Continually staying abreast of the industry's advancements in quantitative modeling and measurement of risks.
Applicants should have a high aptitude for critical thinking and analyzing risks. The specific attributes and experience we are looking for are:
Preferred:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other related field.
- Interests in quantitative modeling and learning modeling tools to perform model diagnostic/replication work and to process and examine large quantities of data.
- Strong business writing skills.
- Ability to work constructively with a variety of departments and to persuasively present recommendations and work results.
Desired:
- Previous experience working in financial services.
- Experience in Sharepoint, VBA, and statistical methods.
