The National Account Director (NAD) plays a pivotal role in managing and coaching a team of National Account Managers (NAM). Reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the National Account Director’s primary responsibility is to oversee the National Account Managers, who are instrumental in nurturing relationships with key clients to secure additional contracts and enhance client satisfaction.

 

What you’ll do….

  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of National Account Managers
    • Provide strategic guidance and support to ensure effective client relationship management
  • Revenue Accountability:
    • Establish and measure revenue targets for each National Account Manager and assigned accounts
    • Provide leadership to National Account Managers to ensure they are performing consistently and achieving revenue targets, relationship milestones, and other KPI metrics on a monthly/Quarterly/Annual basis
  • Training and Development:
    • Train and coach National Account Managers to create opportunities for relationship-building through various communication channels
    • Instruct National Account Managers to be primary business owners internally, collaborating with all internal teams to meet client needs
  • Communication and Networking:
    • Facilitate consistent communication through phone calls, texts, emails, face-to-face meetings, lunches, dinners, special events, and other activities
    • Encourage National Account Managers to establish a strong network within client organizations
  • Customer Service and Satisfaction:
    • Ensure client satisfaction through transparent communication and a deep focus on customer service
    • Work collaboratively with internal teams to exceed client expectations
  • Travel and Reporting:
    • Travel to client properties and corporate offices as needed
    • Generate internal reports and share performance metrics in quarterly and annual business reviews with both internal and client stakeholders
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required

What you’ll need…

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50%)
  • Experience in the commercial services industry including disaster recovery, reconstruction, cap-ex construction, or roofing
  • Previous experience working with clients in multiple states and locations
  • Understanding of relevant compliance and industry regulations
  • Experience building, mentoring, and coaching teams to exceed sales and revenue targets
