Neurology Physician/ Stroke Medical Director- Your Life’s Work—we’re here to support it all!

Position Overview:

• Provide leadership in ongoing initiatives of the Stroke Program, maintaining Stroke Center Certification status, and ensuring quality, evidence-based stroke care.
• Support NGHS System Stroke Program objectives and provide input on budgets, equipment, staffing to achieve the objectives
• Development of agenda for and lead stroke committee meetings to discuss group management and clinical improvement
• Provide direct patient care as a member of the Stroke program and provide consultative advice to inpatient neurology and neurocritical care physicians
• 7 on/7 off schedule to align with inpatient neuro hospitalist team

• Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma at our Gainesville campus and Primary Stroke Center at both our Braselton and Barrow campuses
• Consult only service
• Robust Neurology program that includes
• 18 bed Neuro-Critical Care Unit covered by dedicated Neurocritical Care Team
• Interventional Neurology
• Neurosurgery
• Outpatient Neurology program with subspeciality support
• Experienced support staff includes a dedicated Stroke Coordinator, Educator and Stroke Navigator
• 24/7 EEG Support
• Opportunities for structured Neuroscience educational sessions, M&M, and GME
• EMR Platform – EPIC

• Board Certified Neurologist
• Minimum of three years of Neurology work experience and ability to demonstrate clinical and administrative leadership skills.
• Functions well in a team environment, contributing to and supporting organizational goals and initiatives.
