NPI Engineer

The Role: 

Our site in Bedford Ma. i2M Center is seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer to join our team. The team in i2M focuses on Gas Filtration in the form of Metal Membrane. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to drive the successful scaleup of products/processes from Development to Manufacturing utilizing a Stage Gate Process. You will also work on Process Improvement projects as well as any process/product transfers. 

What You’ll Do: 

• You will use your skills/experience to influence product/processes for manufacturability, while ensuring the highest levels of quality. Achieving this goal will require the use of collaboration, influence, and individual skills to interface with all functions across the organization. 

• As part of Entegris’ Operations team, the NPI Engineer will work closely with the Production cell team as well as the R&D teams to ensure Manufacturing Readiness of the new product portfolio. You will engage with cross functional  Engineers, Production Supervisors, and Operators to drive the successful transition of products/processes from early development to product release. 

• With the fast pace of innovations in semiconductors, you will look forward to managing multiple projects across the product portfolio.

• Serve as a core team member for assigned NPI Projects as the liaison between Development Engineering and Operations, pulling products to market. 

• Prepare Process Documentation to support Product Launch and provide process instructions for high volume manufacturing. 

• Manage customer samples and Product Qualification builds. Work with Operations team to provide special instructions as required. 

• Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures. Assists with analyses and audits on processes to make recommendations on such items as safety, quality, cost, waste reductions, and efficiency. 

What We Seek: 

• Experienced Engineer with a degree in a related engineering discipline.  

• ~3-4 years of related hands-on experience in a production HVM setting.  

• Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills. 

• Working knowledge of product introduction with use of a stage gate process.  

•  Ability to work in a controlled environment on a production floor with long periods of standing as well as in an office setting with long periods of computer interface.  

Outstanding Candidates Will : 

• Experience with use of an ERP system such as SAP. 

• Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills that can communicate and influence personnel at all levels of the organization.  

• Be a great teammate. Learn from the depth of experience your teammates provide, and desire to share your own ideas and experiences. 

• Practicing use of analytical and software tools ( Minitab , Excel, SolidWorks PDM…). 

• Use of SPC , geometric dimensioning & tolerances , validation/qualification methods. 

• Knowledge or experience in the use of metal powders , metallurgy , sintering is a plus.   

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
