Hourly Range: $65-$75 + Full Time Employment Benefits
City, State: Logansport, IN
Shift Times: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, Full-Time

Position Overview:

As a Nurse Practitioner in a state-operated hospital facility, you will independently provide a full range of patient-centered care, from conducting physical exams and diagnostic evaluations to managing treatment plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. This role involves working with patients who may present with complex medical, behavioral, or psychological conditions and requires a high degree of clinical skill, judgment, and autonomy. You will also serve as a leader and resource for nursing staff while helping drive quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and establish diagnoses.
  • Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic studies and lab results.
  • Provide and manage direct treatment, including prescribing medications and performing invasive procedures.
  • Deliver emergency care such as CPR and consult with physicians in critical situations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
  • Develop patient education programs tailored to individual needs and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality improvement and research efforts.
What You Bring:
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of Indiana.
  • Valid DEA and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) specific to Indiana.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex care situations independently using evidence-based practices.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing principles, behavioral health, and emergency response protocols.
