Job Description
University of Rochester's affiliate, Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, NY, is seeking OBGYN Generalists to join its growing Women's Health group practice. Our team currently consists of 2 OBGYN MDs, 1 FM-OB (Non-Surgical), 1 CNM, and 1 Women's Health PA. Jones Memorial is recruiting 2 FTE additional OBGYN MDs to support the practice.
Our opportunity includes a mix of outpatient clinic (2-3 days/week) and OR time (2 days/week) for C-sections, GYN procedures, etc. Our OBGYN MDs also participate in a call rotation, roughly 1:4 call when fully recruited. This includes backup call for the CNM. The annual delivery volumes at JMH are around 350/year. Our community also has 3 FT Pediatricians and 2 Pediatric NPs who also round on newborns at the hospital.
Enjoy competitive compensation and employee benefits package from Jones Memorial Hospital. UR Faculty Appointment will also be considered if interested, to include teaching/academic activities. We are also flexible to accommodate other types of schedules (i.e. block scheduling, etc.) if interested to discuss.
The Wellsville community is located approximately 90 miles southwest of Rochester, NY, and is also approximately 90 miles southeast of Buffalo, NY. Our area is sought after by hunting and fishing enthusiasts, and is also a popular destination for hiking, skiing, and camping. Wellsville's quaint Main Street is home to several charming small businesses, restaurants and cafes, the Wellsville Brewing Company brewery, the David A. Howe public library, and more. The community hosts several festivals and events year-round, including the Great Wellsville Hot Air Balloon Rally in the summer, the Ridgewalk 5K/10K in the fall, and the Lion's Club Trout Fishing Derby in the spring. Wellsville is also less than an hour from other popular tourist destinations, such as the Corning Museum of Glass, the Keuka Lake wine trail (and just a hop, skip and jump away from other Finger Lakes!) and Ellicottville, NY.
Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited OB/GYN Residency, B/C or B/E (ABOG) and have or be eligible for NYS medical licensure. New and recent graduates as well as experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
