Job Description

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Onsite Service Technician to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins in Gallivare, Sweden.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • You will maintain, diagnose and complete repairs on Cummins diesel engines and related systems in mainly Komatsu mining products at a mine site named Aitik close to Gallivare in the north of Sweden.
  • You will engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner. You anticipate and ensure prompt and efficient attention to our customer needs.
  • You will apply the use of specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • You will perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field.
  • You will escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • You complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and other reports via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • You will ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • You like to work on diesel engines and all related systems using mechanical and electronical tools for troubleshooting and repair. Your skillset covers mechanical and electrical system knowledge, and you are not afraid of using computers and software during investigations and reporting.
  • You have a problem-solving mentality and have an eye for safety issues.
  • You are customer oriented, independent, self-sufficing worker and know how to set priorities.
  • You have strong communicative skills and communicate fluent in Swedish and English.
  • You have a driver's license.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional), Apprentice Trained Power Generation and/or Engine Technician (Preferred).
  • Current relevant electrical certification (optional).
  • Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
