Your Role and Responsibilities

This position is for OneCloud Engineer – Security Technician role.

What you’ll do:

As a OneCloud Engineer – Security Technician you will be responsible for:

• Enhance virtual machine security through golden image build automation
• respond to customer queries regarding virtual machine security (ITSS standards vulnerability scans etc) for Linux Windows AIX HMCs etc.
• Manage/respond to shifting requirements for ITSS/Security for both user workloads and OneCloud infrastructure
• Enhance customer experience through increased integration with IBM Infrastructure security tooling (SSCA Uptycs ITSec scans etc)
• interface with IBM Infrastructure security team as needed.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Required Technical and Professional Expertise with relevant experience of 5-10 years:

• Comfortable working with zOS or Linux Operating system. Preferably on a Z system (s390x)
• Linux Windows AIX systems administration
• Comfort with APIs basic networking certificates
• Skilled in scripting language such as Python Ansible or bash is preferred.
• Very good Debugging skills
• Quick learner and a strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self Driven and Proven ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
• Good decision making skill.
