 About the Team

The goal of the Account Management (AM) department is to translate our understanding of how the global economy works into strategy specific portfolios. Embedded within the Account Management department is a uniquely talented technology team that builds and manages the tools that allow our portfolio strategists, investors, and operations teams to create and test new portfolio strategies and logic, construct portfolios, and manifest our desired portfolios to securities we can trade in the markets.

About the Role

As part of our plan to increase support of our global time zones, we are looking to add Operations Engineers to our Portfolio Management group within the broader AM team. This will cover an extension of our coverage from ~3pm EST – 12am Eastern which will form the basis of the working day.

 You Will Drive the Following Responsibilities

  • Intake and Triage systems and applications issues, understanding the problem, scope, and urgency
  • Establish and Communicate a clear plan of action
  • Technical investigation and follow resolution or escalation processes accordingly
  • Working through ad-hoc systems improvements as “prevention is preferred to cure”

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical troubleshooting experience across a broad contemporary technical stack (cloud, infra, applications, code, data)
  • Experience utilizing SQL, writing SQL scripts, and interrogating databases
  • Experience diagnosing and fixing complex backend systems with contemporary programming languages, patterns, and architectures
  • Programming experience with C# or Scala is a plus, other languages are also acceptable.
  • Computer science fundamentals with exposure to backend platform-level development
  • 5+ Years of professional software development experience

Location Requirements

We are able offer this role as fully remote within the USA with estimated quarterly trips to Connecticut for meetings, planning and training. We are also open to this role being performed as hybrid with two days per week in our Westport, CT office.

Compensation Band

The compensation range for this role is $150,000 to $250,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 80-90% of the range.
