CACI is actively searching for an SCA Engineering Technician III who will provide executive admin operations support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, at the Commander, Naval Surface Forces Atlantic location in Norfolk, VA.

What You'll Get to Do:

This individual will serve as General Operations Support and Enterprise Knowledge Manager for COMNAVSURFLANT N6 ACOS and Deputy. Transmit, receive, and acknowledge electronic mail and messages. Check transmittals for proper clearances, route mail and messages to other terminals as designated. Create and submit final drafts for N6 Directorate documents and Naval Messages in accordance with SORM 5400 Series utilizing the Navy Correspondence Manual, the Naval Telecommunications Manual (NTP 3), Common Messaging Processing (CMP) format, and all other applicable Instructions in support of COMNAVSURFLANT's operational mission. Serve as a Directorate authority on correspondence, providing inputs to improve the efficiency of the information flow for the N6 Directorates, with COMNAVSURFLANT, and with other commands. Create and maintain internet and intranet sites used to disseminate information throughout COMNAVSURFLANT, the fleet, and various other Commands. Maintain databases for COMNAVSURFOR War Fighting Improvement Program (WFIP) in support of COMNAVSURFLANT and COMNAVSURFOR mission. Track and maintain Maintenance and C5I Naval Message database on SURFOR NIPRNet Web Design, maintain, and administrate the War Fighting Improvement Program and various other programs on SURFOR Web SIPRNet and NIPRNet. Coordinate, schedule, and administer the N6 SharePoint Web calendars in support of COMNAVSURFLANT Directorates.

More About the Role:
  • Create and update travel documents.
  • Update travel preferences in a traveler's personal profile.
  • Create vouchers by using information from an authorization.
  • Digitally sign and submit travel documents and be able to determine the status of a travel document at any given time.
  • Prepare packages for Combat Systems Readiness Assistant Chief of Staff before Prospective Commanding Officers (PCO) come to visit.
  • Maintain office files or historical data to allow for effective research in resolving administrative issues.
  • Update or revise existing databases and spreadsheets.
  • Identify and correct extraneous or missing functions as indicated by special symbols/codes on computer screen.
  • Prepare draft form material such as messages, memoranda's, letters, and reports.


You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Power Point, Access, Excel, and Word; and should have advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have advanced knowledge of varied functions of more than one software type or varied and advanced functions of one software type, such as word processing, calendar, electronic mail, spreadsheets, databases, and graphics.
  • Be able to prepare a wide range of documents using advanced word processing features similar to desktop publishing (e.g., multiple fonts, graphics, indices, glossaries, columns, charts, etc.).
  • Use advanced software functions such as special symbols, importing graphics and merging documents, precise alignment of multiple columns, etc.
  • Be able to sit up to 80 percent of the time and have good close vision, good depth perception, and have the ability to bring objects into sharp focus.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to acquire a SECRET security clearance.
