We are hiring a Full-time and/or a Part-time candidate ideally to work between both our San Diego and Coranado Pearle Vision locations. If you have a California Optician's License, all License annual fees, as and if needed, are paid by Pearle Vision. We also support the CE needed to maintain your license as well. Otherwise, we will provide training neccessary to obtain your license! This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to learn and advance. GENERAL FUNCTION The Sales Associate drives profitable sales growth, attracts and retains guests for life by delivering exceptional Guest service. This is accomplished through development of a positive and productive retail-selling environment that ensures premier Guest Service, Guest retention, as well as outstanding Optical Team/Doctor satisfaction. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Develops professional business relationships with other Team Members. • Consistently deliver sales plan and company objectives through cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones. • Utilizes optical prescription to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings. • Assists patients in the selection of frames and coordinates frames with optical measurements assisting our customers in choosing the perfect vision solution. • Verifies visual acuity. • Analyzes and interprets prescriptions and lens design. • Measures pupillary distances, bifocal, trifocal and progressive placement. • Fits and adjusts eyewear to the face and eyes. • Dispenses contact lenses. • Fills ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fits and adapts lenses and frames, utilizing optical prescription, within the guidelines established by the state. • Ensures high quality/timely product manufacturing/fabrication. • Dispenses quality product, within the guidelines established by the state. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • High School Degree or equivalent • 1+ years in retail or customer service position • Enthusiastic and concise communication (both oral and written) • Attention to detail • Familiarity with point of sale system, computers & calculators with basic phone and math skills • Embrace new technology & change with high level of accuracy • Ability to sell through use of sales skills and accountability for sales results, with a desire to meet goals. • Self-Motivator with a demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Associates Degree • ABO Certification Pearle Vision is part of the Luxottica, N.A family.
