UTMB was established in 1891 as the first academic health center in Texas and is a component of the University of Texas System. Today UTMB includes four schools (medicine, nursing, health professions and graduate biomedical sciences), a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities. The Medical School enrolls 230 students per class and 1 in 6 Texas physicians have trained at UTMB.  UTMB Health also provides medical services through our Primary and Specialty Care Clinics which are located south of downtown Houston throughout Southeast Texas.    

UTMB Health Primary and Specialty Care Clinics seeks Primary Care Physicians (FP and IM):
UTMB Health offers Clinical Faculty opportunities in an Out-Patient only setting and we are actively recruiting qualified Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Physicians.  We currently have practice opportunities available at one of our Primary and Specialty Health Care Clinics located in Webster, Friendswood, League City, Texas City, or Lake Jackson.  Our Primary and Specialty care centers offer the latest state-of-the-art care in a peaceful and healing setting to better serve our valued patients.  These clinical opportunities offer a unique practice experience that offers exceptional patient care and a superior work/life balance for the provider.  This is a weekday only opportunity with no call or weekend duties that also allows the physician to choose between a 4, 10-hour day or 5, 8-hour day work schedule.  All residents and in-practice physicians are encouraged to apply! 

Candidate Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility
• Current, unrestricted Texas State Medical License.

Income Package:  Salary will be competitive and includes an obtainable RVU bonus package with incentives.  Income Potential of $220,000 - $250,000 annually.  In addition, UTMB offers a superior state benefits package, an exceptional retirement program, a relocation allowance as well as other potential incentives.
