Part-time Designer & Studio Assistant

Crane & Palette Design Studiois seeking a part-timeDesigner & Studio Assistantto join our creative team in-person at ourGraduate Hospitalstudio! This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about graphic design and illustration but also enjoys the hands-on, behind-the-scenes side of a working studio - from assembling wedding invitations to organizing materials and helping keep our calendar on track. This is ahybrid rolethat blends creative design work with hands-on studio support. You’ll be expected to move fluidly between tasks like sketching invitation concepts, designing in Adobe Illustrator, and assembling physical suites or organizing materials in the studio. We’re looking for someone who’s just as comfortable deep in design work as they are jumping in to help with day-to-day studio operations.Flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are key! This position will start at 2-3 days a week, with potential to grow into a full-time opportunity. Daily Duties include but are not limited to… Design & Creative Work • Sketch and design custom wedding stationery concepts • Collaborate directly with the Creative Director and Graphic Designer on design concepts and project development • Assist with painting or illustration • Learn and apply the C&P aesthetic and design standards across projects Studio Support • Work alongside our Studio Manager to support production and keep the studio running smoothly • Assemble invitation suites and day-of materials • Organize studio space and supplies • Driving to and from USPS and UPS for deliveries (candidate must have their own car for weekly tasks) What We’re Looking For • Highly skilled in Adobe Suite (particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) • Experience working in iPad Procreate • Illustration experience -watercolor is a huge bonus! • Eye for typography, color, and detail • Efficient, organized, and comfortable with both creative and repetitive tasks • Reliable, self-motivated, and loves a fast-paced, but relaxed work vibe About Crane & Palette Crane & Palette is a design studio specializing in luxury wedding day stationery, signage, and branding. We create custom, one-of-a-kind wedding day paper for each of our clients – taking the time to get to know the intimate details of each couple’s special day. On a good day, we are powering through our many projects all while enjoying good music, podcasts, and a generally light and friendly environment. Candidate would rarely have client-facing interaction so we embrace a very casual dress environment! Yoga pants encouraged. Headphones/podcasts/etc. totally okay while working.
