Job Description:

The Payment Innovation Director II is responsible for the Payment Innovation Portfolio of Value Based Payment Models with oversight of strategy, design, development, and conceptualizing of innovative payment solutions for healthcare providers.

Location: This role will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will reside within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health locations.

How you will make an impact:

  • Drives the execution of payment innovation strategies for the Medicare and Medicaid LOB
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert in VBC Primary Care Medicare Uplift and Medicaid.
  • Meets with stakeholders and markets on Payment Model initiatives.
  • Team Lead over the Government Business Division LOB teams. Manages and oversees the day-to-day activities of the team members. This includes assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring that work is completed on time and to the required standard. Provides guidance, support, and mentorship. Assist in problem-solving, decision making, offer advice, and provide necessary resources or training to help team members perform their duties effectively.
  • Identifying Process Flows; coordinates with Director on what is needed for team assignment.
  • Implements quality control measures to ensure accuracy of deliverables meeting the expectations of stakeholders.
  • Leads cross functional teams (technical, clinical, and other teams) for major initiatives.
  • Writes Detailed Business Requirements, program collateral, executive level presentations.
  • Works with finance and actuary on Payment Model performance.
  • Creates and initiates business solution development, works with other business partners to guide and support solution development, pilot and solution launch activities, that drive business solutions.
  • Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.
  • Translates complex information and coordinates the communication, implementation of key decisions and accomplishments.
  • Manages small to large scale multi-million dollar projects/initiatives utilizing project management methodology.
  • Evolves and maintains the Value Based Payment Models.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires BA/BS in business or related field and a minimum of 12 years of experience in healthcare systems, and 8 years of experience in a strategy role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • MBA/Master's degree
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data
  • Proven experience in managing large scale projects and teams.
  • In depth, end to end Medicare/Medicaid Value Based Payment Models experience.
  • Experience with systems (ie PIMS, PCMS, Contraxx, etc.) and analysis
  • Strong time management skills to work within tight deadlines and multiple projects.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $119,360 to $225,590.
