Payroll Administrator II

AvidXchange is seeking a Payroll Administrator II to be heavily involved with processing the bi-weekly payroll for the Company as well as other payroll-related duties. This role serves as a backup for the Payroll Manager

What you'll do

• Help to ensure hours worked get recorded accurately, employees are paid on time and correctly, and the business is compliant with relevant taxes and other laws
• Provide customer support to employees, respond to emails to the Payroll inbox, and answer questions when employees drop in
• Answer employee questions related to pay
• Problem solve to ensure compliance with payroll deadlines, review for errors to ensure accuracy
• Resolve timecard discrepancies by working with employees, supervisors, and managers, including PTO approvals
• Calculate pay according to hours worked, verifying leaves, employee status changes, and overtime
• Uploads and verifies monthly commissions/bonuses, Gift Card recipients, Novant Deducts, Tax Adjustments, and Pay Code reclassifications as needed
• Audits deductions for discrepancies and works with HR for corrections
• Process off-cycle payments when needed
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Supports payroll tax function to ensure taxes are timely filed and paid; responds to notice

What we're looking for

• 3+ years' experience in payroll processing
• Attention to detail; strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
• Familiarity with payroll regulations and concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel
